I've started typing this blog post so many times but can't seem to find the right words!
Here's a try:
Tomorrow is the day that all the thoughts and all the preparations around this trip become a reality. I still can't wrap my head around it. Tomorrow, I, along with my friends Patrick and Laura, will board a transatlantic flight that will eventually get us to Derbyshire, United Kingdom.
I can't say anything else without thanking my parents. I am so fortunate to have parents who have loved me and inspired my ambition since day one. They have taught me and helped me to take every opportunity I have been given thus far, and are always on my side. Thank you all so much!
Now, being a teacher is a dream that I have had ever since I can remember. I have always had a love for kids and for teaching, but I've also always had a passion for learning. I've been presented with an opportunity to learn how a whole other part of the world lives, which is so, SO exciting. I will be finishing up the last part of my Student Teaching, for one month, in England.
So, this Kentucky girl will be leaving for just a little while. I'll be right back in just a month. :)
Thank you for any prayers, positive thoughts, and kind words. Although I am excited, this is a huge leap for me and not one that I take lightly. I'll post again soon!
